Eggs: how to know if they are expired?

Eggs can be found in the kitchens of almost all French homes. According to a survey conducted by CSA for the Interprofession of Eggs (CNPO), 99% of households in France say they consume eggs. “More than 9 out of 10 (91%) do it at least once a week, compared to 84% in 2019”, reports the Agro-media site.

Because eggs offer a significant advantage: they can come in several forms. Here’s how people in France prefer to eat them:

You don’t have to rely on the expiration date of your eggs to know if they’re still good. Often, they are still edible several days after the date indicated.

To find out if your eggs are still fresh, all you need is a bowl filled with cold water.
