Ed Sheeran has no shortage of projects in his boxes. The proof: the 32-year-old singer is currently working on a new cycle of five albums in addition to developing a musical project that would not be released until after his death.

Sheeran will release on May 5th – (Subtract), which will close his mathematically themed cycle consisting of five studio albums. But the Briton already sees further… and even until the day of his own death.

The singer has indeed declared to Rolling Stone magazine that he was preparing a posthumous album which he intends to improve over the course of his existence. “For the rest of my life, I want to quietly work on this album which will be – open the quotes – perfect, adding songs here and there. His release would be in my last wishes. »

The musician also revealed that his collaboration with Aaron Dessner of The National for the album – (Subtract) has been very fruitful: the duo have already garnered enough material for an upcoming album. Three “happier” songs were chosen and these would herald a new cycle for Ed Sheeran.

This album, whose title is still unknown, has already reached the mixing stage. No release date has been announced.
