The singer Judy Dyble, founder member of the british band Fairport Convention, has died at the age of 71. The musician, born in north London, had suffered from cancer in recent years.
Dyble left Fairport in 1968 and joined Trader Horne, and was also released in a solo, although he continued to appear in several of the events of the meeting of the worship band. Dyble also sang in the band of guitarist Robert Fripp, called Giles, Giles & Fripp.
His agent, as reported by the BBC, has stated that it was “one of the pioneers of the scene to folk-rock in English,” and that he died after “a long illness faced with great courage”, recalling the wishes of her family would like to thank the messages of his fans on the social networks during the last few weeks.
“This morning comes the sad news of the death of Judy Dyble, exmúsico and singer of Fairport Convention. Judy was a wizard usual both inside and outside of the stage in our annual festival of meeting in Cropredy. In recent years, resurrected his musical career with a series of albums soloists acclaimed,” said the band in a statement.

Simon Nicol, the companion of the band and founding member, recalls that, “in the first place, it was always my childhood friend”. And he describes it as “kind and gentle, shy but funny, sad but focused. He surrounded himself with beauty, he loved his children and grandchildren and adored greyhounds that I rescued them”.
