A tribal leader like no other. Denis Brogniart has been the leading face of Koh-Lanta for more than 20 years, which he hosts every season on TF1. An emblematic figure of the channel, the TV host is also a happy family man alongside his wife Hortense.
Before his meeting with the former journalist, Denis Brogniart welcomed his first child, a son named Dimitri, born from a previous union in 2000. Five years later, the couple founded their family with the birth of their twins Lili and Violette. Then, they expand their clan with the arrival of the little Blanche born in 2006 before getting married the following year.
A happy tribe that Denis Brogniart rarely presents on social networks, preferring instead to preserve his daughters from the media. However, with the frequency of Koh-Lanta filming, the famous host is often far from his offspring. To remedy this, the fifties has established some family rituals.
“Before my departure on the set of Koh Lanta, each time, the day before or the day before, we have a restaurant with the family. But the real routine is that I take the time, in a handwritten way, to write a long letter to each of my children, where there is tenderness of course, but also objectives, etc”, he reveals to the AuFéminin site last April.
“And often, I’m lucky enough to have a little note in my bag that they hid before I left. We’re a family where we write a lot,” says this writing enthusiast. “I’ve always considered that to say things, writing is the best. And especially with teenagers, it’s not always easy to talk, so when you manage to group your thought and what you want to say, I like to write it down”.
