The High Authority for Transparency in Public Life (HATVP) has made public the results of the declarations of interests and assets of members of Elisabeth Borne’s government. An essential rite of passage for ministers since the Cahuzac affair in 2013. Thus, everyone can consult the savings of Éric Dupond-Moretti or Gabriel Attal online… As well as real estate properties, movable property and the amount current and savings accounts for everyone.

Only the heritage of Caroline Cayeux, hitherto in charge of local authorities, remains unknown. And for good reason: the minister resigned following a disagreement with the HATVP. Indeed, the French administrative authority suspects a “false” assessment of the heritage of the former mayor of Beauvais. The dispute concerns the value of a Parisian apartment as well as possible tax evasion.

The ministers’ declaration of assets contains a few curiosities… And highlights in particular the fact that several members of the government have a debit balance on their current account. Marlène Schiappa, Secretary of State for the Social and Solidarity Economy and Associative Life, would be overdrawn by 52 euros. The debit balance of the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, him, amounts to 691 euros. Finally, Sébastien Lecornu, Minister of the Armies, is in the red up to 2,370 euros.

In addition, the HATVP report revealed that several Borne government ministers are millionaires. Find which ones in our slideshow below.
