Times are tough for Dany Boon. According to information from the L’Informé investigation site on October 24, the famous actor was sentenced by the Paris Court of Appeal to pay nearly 110,000 euros in damages to his former partner Laurent Storch. A revelation confirmed by our colleagues from La Voix du Nord, targeting the fifty-year-old for “unfair, brutal and vexatious” dismissal.

The businessman Laurent Storch worked as director of productions at TF1, before leaving his post in 2013 to collaborate with Dany Boon. Long-time friends, he was appointed development director of the performing arts company Les Productions du Chicon. In addition to this function, the sexagenarian also chaired Les Productions du Ch’timi and the audiovisual company HBB26 belonging to the director of Welcome to the Ch’tis and A perfect plan.

But, in 2016, Laurent Storch was alerted to the financial problems of the company before being himself summoned for a preliminary interview in January 2017, according to our colleagues. A few months later, the latter will be dismissed “economic reason”. It was then that Dany Boon’s former partner attacked him at the industrial tribunal.

Initially, the media professional is claiming nearly 360,000 euros in “damages and unpaid overtime”, specifies L’Informé. In July 2019, Laurent Storch was dismissed and appealed against the court decision. Three years later, he finally won his case at second instance in this conflict between him and Laurence Arné’s companion.

This conviction does not help Dany Boon’s business. Last July, the filmmaker was allegedly the victim of a vast financial scam by a false Irish lord, revealed by the daily Irish Examiner. Between April and July 2021, the actor would have paid him an estimated sum of 6.7 million euros. His lawyers are now working to recover the money stolen by this impostor.
