FRISCO, Texas — The remaking of this Dallas Cowboys’ defense continued Wednesday with the launch of nose handle Antwaun Woods, who started 32 games from 2018 to 2020.

Woods was made to earn $2.1 million under the restricted free agent tender he obtained earlier this offseason. He was credited with 33 tackles, 1 sack and four quarterback pressures a year ago, starting seven of 14 games. He also joined the Cowboys at 2018 after being waived from the Tennessee Titans and outperformed expectations, starting 15 games in his first year.

In 6-foot-1, 310 lbs, Woods was a match in the way the Cowboys needed their defensive tackles in preceding planner Rod Marinelli’s scheme. The Cowboys chosen Kentucky’s Quinton Bohanna, that is 6-4, 327 lbs, at the sixth round of the NFL draft.
