On March 27, 2023, the Stéthos d’Or 2023 charity gala was held, organized by the Foundation for Research in Physiology at the George V hotel in Paris. An evening that saw many celebrities such as Michel Leeb, Claude Lelouch or the actress Cyrielle Clair.
The latter had begun her career in the theater from the 1970s alongside the actor and director Jean Le Poulain. In 1980, Cyrielle Clair played her first role on the big screen in the film Tusk, directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky. A year later, she obtained the role of Alice Ancelin, the mistress of Josselin Beaumont, interpreted by the actor Jean-Paul Belmondo in Le Professionnel. “At the same time I was very intimidated because, indeed, Jean-Paul was aware of his glory, he was an undisputed star of French cinema with Alain Delon (…), but at the same time, it was something that I found quite natural in my unconscious as a young actress”, she had declared in the program Balance your post.
From the 1980s, the actress went on filming. She plays in particular in La Belle Captive, The Sword of the Valiant, Le Joli Coeur, Code name: Emerald or even in Les Miserables, by Claude Lelouch.
A film career that will extend until 2016 with the film Frantz by François Ozon in which she plays the role of Adrien’s mother, played by the actor Pierre Niney.
On September 6, 2021, France learned of the tragic disappearance of Bébel, at the age of 88. During his national funeral, Cyrielle Clair was present to pay him a last tribute at the Invalides. “He was a free man, but with values, with fairly high aspirations. We really felt that he loved his comrades, his audience, the cinema above all and his family. He was an exceptional man”, she had told BFM TV.
