A Tornado in the night to Monday a heavy damage in the Cuban capital, Havana: at Least three people were killed, 172 were injured. The cyclone has raged strong in the South-Eastern district of Regla, Cuba’s President, Miguel Díaz-Canel on Twitter. The storm have done a lot of damage. AFP Reporter reported trees uprooted and partly destroyed balconies. The American channel “CNN” also reported that the Tornado had also caused in the West of Havana and nearby provinces of Pinar del Río and Artemisa, as well as in the Matanzas province East of the capital Flooding.
The Communist party newspaper “Granma” released on its website photos of flooded roads and debris on sidewalks. The exact extent of the damage was not yet known. Rescue workers were in use, as Díaz-Canel.
Díaz-Canel spoke of a weather phenomenon of “high intensity”. The President got a picture of the destruction.
