Federal unemployment benefits induce individuals to’stay at home’, asserts the Oklahoma governor

KEVIN STITT: A couple weeks before, I raised the state of crisis in Oklahoma since the fact is, COVID’s no more a crisis in our nation. And… we had been among the initial countries, June 1st, to completely reopen. Cases are 95 percent. So now is the time to terminate the national incentive that’s incentivizing people to remain in your home. And we would like to get them back to perform from the state of Oklahoma.

And we feel that at Oklahoma. Firms all around the country are telling me that they can not hire employees. And so we wish to opt out of this national program that has been incentivizing people and they are earning more cash , remaining in your home. And we would like to have people back to work.
