The hospitalization rate is also on the rise: plus 6% last week across France.

It should also be taken into account that these figures are most likely understated. First of all, the strike of laboratory personnel distorts the statistics, which are based on the results of tests analyzed in these same laboratories. Then fewer and fewer people get tested! And, even, if they do, they more often resort to self-tests, which are not taken into account in the statistics, because the results are not recorded.

Many more or less independent experts have undertaken to alert the French through forums or interviews on TV sets. Faced with this growing threat, Brigitte Autran, president of the Committee for monitoring and anticipating health risks, spoke on the set of Télématin this Monday, November 28.

She therefore listed her recommendations, with regard to individuals and the public administration, on the directives to be followed and the measures to be put in place to slow down the progress of the cases, as reported by our colleagues from BFMTV. The drop in temperatures, the prospect of a triple winter epidemic of Covid, bronchiolitis and influenza, added to the arrival of the holiday season, which is particularly conducive to contamination, mean that the president of Covars has made herself particularly pressing in her recommendations.
