The comic festival announced on Wednesday the identity of the hosts of its six summer galas.
While the Just for Laughs festival revealed last week that it will be ending its galas in July after presenting a final one featuring Yvon Deschamps, the ComediHa! Fest-Québec confirmed on Wednesday that it will keep the tradition alive with six galas offered at the Grand Théâtre de Québec, from August 8 to 13.
Among its hosts: Anthony Kavanagh, a regular, Dominic and Martin, who will celebrate thirty years of career and jokes, and Laurent Paquin, who holds the record for the most galas piloted at Just for Laughs, 17.
After making his unexpected comeback last summer, Michel Courtemanche will once again be hosting one of these events. As for Cathy Gauthier, she will be flanked by the one who provides the first parts of her Classical tour, Silvi Tourigny, whose alter ego Carole must already be burning with enthusiasm.
Eighteen years after the publication of his first album of serious songs, Marc Dupré will reconnect for just one evening with the world of laughter. The popular coach of La Voix, propelled in the 1990s as an imitator, “will leave aside the nice singer to offer us an incisive comedian”, we promise. Enough to reach the extreme? Enough to start the fire again? This will be seen on August 8.
