(Marana) Marc Leishman started his day with an eagle and held on mid-round to post a 66, five-under par, and build a two-shot lead over Sergio Garcia on the eve of the final round of the LIV Golf Tour Tucson Tournament.
After two rounds, the Australian golfer has a cumulative record of 131, 11 under par, after 36 holes.
Garcia, whose last win anywhere came at Mississippi more than two years ago, played 65.
He could have done better if he hadn’t missed a two-foot par putt on the 16th hole. He was, however, able to end his day with a birdie on the 17th hole, the last of his round.
Louis Oosthuizen (68) is part of a group of four players posting cumulative scores of 134, eight under par. The others are Charles Howell III (65), Brendan Steele (65) and Cameron Tringale (66).
