Love it or hate it, snow is a hallmark of the holiday season. As Christmas approaches, you may be wondering if you will have the opportunity to wake up on December 25 with a nice white coat on the ground of your garden… According to forecasts from La Chaîne Météo, the end of the month promises to be very mild, with positive temperatures throughout France.

Regarding Christmas Eve, no snow or ice on the program. “On the sky side, it will often be overcast in the north and in the central regions with some rain, which should nevertheless remain fairly light. In the south, the weather will be dry and the sky often clear, close to the Mediterranean”, indicates the site specializing in meteorology. Temperatures are expected between 8 and 11°C around 9 p.m., and up to 14°C in the south-west of the territory. A real “Christmas on the balcony”, comments the forecaster.

For December 25, we expect a return of clearings to the Loire. “Christmas day could therefore be quite sunny in these regions and very mild”, indicates La Chaîne Météo. On the mercury side, temperatures will fluctuate between 12 and 18°C ​​in the afternoon, with up to 20°C in the Var and the southwest. “On the northern half, the clouds will still be numerous with rain and wind near the English Channel. The feeling will be much more autumnal in these regions with maximums between 9 and 13°C all the same”, continues the forecaster.
