Chevrolet last week introduced the new version of its Traverse midsize SUV, a redesign that will try to make it more attractive in a highly competitive segment.

Without revolutionizing the recipe for family purposes, this Traverse receives a slight dose of character with a more protruding grille and a more angular face.

The previous 3.6L V6 gives way to a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder that boosts power to 315 hp and torque to 317 lb-ft. It transmits its torque to the ground through an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. Its maximum towing capacity is set at 2268 kg, as is that of the one it replaces.

For outdoor enthusiasts, a new Z71 version makes its debut with optimized all-wheel drive alongside 25mm increased ground clearance and specific dampers for this livery. Off-road lean tires are also part of the hardware store.

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will go on sale in early 2024.
