This October 1, 2022, on the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, Charlène of Monaco attended the Akris fashion show. A remarkable return for the wife of Prince Albert II who had not returned to the capital for almost four years.
The mother of twins Gabriella and Jacques has been in the spotlight since 2020 following her exile in South Africa. As a reminder, the former professional swimmer had to stay away from her family for many months following several health problems. Last August, Charlene of Monaco agreed to confide in the columns of News24 on the hardships she experienced.
“I went through a very difficult time, but I was lucky to be supported and loved by my husband, my children and my family, from whom I draw all my strength. I feel much stronger physically. The road has been long, difficult and painful. I don’t want to go too fast, but today I feel more peaceful,” she said and continued: “My daily life revolves around my children. been very busy with their activities, such as sailing, their courses on the marine environment, as well as their initiations to diving and sea rescue”.
Already in the columns of Monaco-Matin in May 2022, the princess had mentioned the many rumors against her, deploring the relentlessness of the media. “My state of health is still fragile and I don’t want to go too fast. The path has been long, difficult and so painful. Today, I feel more serene”, she explained before adding: “I find all the same regrettable that some media peddle such rumors about my life, my couple. Like everyone, we are human beings and like all human beings, we have emotions, fragilities, only our family is exposed to the media and the slightest weakness is relayed (…) Albert supported me enormously”.
