(Montreal) The Quebec information technology company CGI achieved a net profit of 419.4 million in the second quarter of the current fiscal year, 12.7% higher than that reported for the corresponding period of 2022.

Excluding specific items, profit was 435 million, 16.3% more than in 2022.

CGI’s net earnings per share increased 15% over the same period to $1.76.

The Montreal-based company earned $3.72 billion in revenue in the second quarter of 2023, up 13.7% from the same period in 2022.

In addition, CGI reports that new contracts amounted to 3.84 billion, 523 million more than last year. Meanwhile, net debt fell in one year, from 2.73 billion to 2.53 billion.
