Catherine Lara unrecognizable: discover her photos of youth

In her book entitled A l’amour, à la vie and published in 2019, the host Catherine Ceylac had collected the testimony of many celebrities on their intimate and sentimental life. This was particularly the case of the violinist Catherine Lara who had agreed to confide her first sexual experience when she was 25 years old. A “brutal” experience, as she explained.

“My first time, I didn’t like it at all. It was with a 45-year-old man, who had been insisting for so long that I ended up giving in,” she explained and continued: “It was brutal, it hurt, it was very aggressive, I hated it”. Since then, the artist has been living happy days alongside his partner Samantha.

She had not participated in Les Enfoirés since 2012. Violinist Catherine Lara had agreed to return to the troupe in order to raise money for the benefit of Restos du Coeur, an association created in 1985 by comedian Coluche. In total, Catherine Lara had participated 11 times in Enfoirés, had interpreted 33 songs, had played 6 songs and had accompanied 85 titles as can be read on the official website of the association.

A long absence that raised many questions. Why had she hesitated to resume service? In an interview with Télé-Loisirs, the musician gave some answers. “When I was called, I hesitated a bit, I didn’t know what I was going to do there,” she explained and added: “Yves Maillet [artistic director of Les Enfoirés, ndlr ] called me and told me that they were happy to have me come for a little booster shot, it was so kindly requested that I didn’t want to do my big whimsy. There is a family side in Les Enfoirés. I easily said yes. We’re here for a real reason, there are still people who don’t have enough to eat. I said to myself: “It’s less easy because there’s no audience. Without an audience, it’s hard to put on a show”.

In October 2021, the star confided in her departure from the troupe during her appearance on the show Touche pas à mon poste. “I was lucky enough to live in a time when there were real duets, trios, quartets. We had time to sing. We didn’t say a sentence and we went out. I loved that time- there”, she had declared and to add: “I miss a little goosebumps in the story, here it is. What I miss is more emotion. I regret that time”.
