The purchasing power of retirees is undermined by inflation, according to the overview of pensions from the Department of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (Drees), published on May 19, 2022. Pensions for all schemes combined increase by 0.5% on average between the end of 2020 and the end of 2021 in current euros, but fall by 2.2% in constant euros due to high inflation”, indicates the administration.
In this sense, some supermarkets give their customers a boost to support their wallet. According to Le Parisien, this is the case of the Casino brand which has been offering, since May 3, 2022, a special offer for seniors, the latter representing up to 28% of their clientele. Consumers over 65 can now take advantage of the CasinoMax subscription at the rate of 3 euros per month or 30 euros per year, instead of 10 euros per month. A subscription that allows them to benefit from an immediate 10% reduction at each checkout, including on promotional products.
To take out this subscription, all you need to do is be 65 or older and have a Casino Max account. When you next go to the checkout, ask the cashier for your senior subscription by showing him an ID. To finalize your registration, all you have to do is activate your advantages on the Casino Max application.
If you regularly do your shopping at the Casino supermarket, seniors are also entitled to free delivery from 60 euros of purchase as well as priority passage at the checkout.
