Justin Trudeau, Canada’s Prime Minister has been confirmed positive for Covid-19. This comes as Canada continues to experience a spike in cases from the Omicron variant and protestsin capital over the pandemic restrictions.

“This morning I tested positive for COVID-19,” tweeted Trudeau and who are fully vaccinatedand enhanced. “I feel fine. I will continue working remotely this week, while adhering to public health guidelines. Please get vaccinated.
Two of Trudeau’s three school-aged children have also tested positive, the Prime Minister stated Monday at an outdoor news conference. This was days after announcinga Covid-19 expose, but he has not given any details. Trudeau met Wednesday with members of his Cabinet.

As a precaution , the Trudeau family was relocated to an undisclosed place by opposition to Covid-19 health restrictions. Truckers protesting vaccine requirements started the events and they gained support from others calling for the end of other Covid-19 mandates.
According to Johns Hopkins University data, Canada has one the highest vaccination rates worldwide. About 4 out of 5 Canadians are fully vaccinated.
Trudeau advised Canadians to “hunker down” this month for winter.
“The strain on our health care system is immense, and as much we can all do individually, collectively to reduce the pressure on hospitals, our exhausted health workers on the frontline, I think that’s really where we should be focusing,” Dr. Howard Njoo from Canada, deputy chief of public health officer said.
Although the Prime Minister has not reported having contracted Covid-19 before, his wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau tested positive for it in March 2020.
