The vice-president of Economic Affairs, is Nadia Calviño , has come today to the Commission of Rebuilding the Social and Economic in the Congress and has put on the table the need to put in place a plan of investments and reforms in the next two years with the aim of promoting the growth of the economy. As has been recognized, the plan must be endowed with a “large volume of public and private investment”, and will be determined through the recovery plan of the European Union.

According to the minister, the plan should be based in six “covenants or axis” : the ecological transition, the digital transformation, the employment and vocational training, science, public services and the transformation of the agri-food sector. In addition, it must fall within the european agenda and the “ambitious” proposal of the Commission. As advised, despite the fact that the response goes in the direction claimed by Spain, even “much remains to be done” regarding the details of the fund and still must be overcome “resistances formidable” on the part of some countries.

In a commission and is marked by the mad policy, Calviño has called for “unity” around these large axes to get the country to grow again “with force” and has acknowledged that measures to deal with the consequences of the epidemic of coronavirus will cost important and a ballast more to the public accounts. Calviño has insisted on this point in that the goal of the Government is to return to the path of consolidation when the economy will once again grow at a pace robust and has pointed to a “greater efficiency” of the spending, according to the findings of the evaluations of the Airef, and to increase the “soundness of the fiscal system” as the foundation on which to build it.

In particular, the vice president has said that it will improve the income to fight against the black economy and tax fraud, and to design a “framework tax progressive”, with new tax , among which have been cited by the digital services and financial transactions. In terms of the recovery, Calviño has assured that “if the desescalada continues like until now,” the economy will evolve as envisaged, in the form of “V asymmetrical” , with a recovery that has now started and will be intense from next year.

Asked by the parliamentary groups about the departure of Nissan from Catalonia, Calviño has ensured that at the meeting at which she was present the message was very different to the output of the firm that today has been raised. “We will work with the government, the free trade Zone, the city Council of Barcelona, the company and the workers by managing in the best way possible to this situation or, if not, to find alternative solutions”.
