Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner, Seattle Kraken forward Matty Beniers and Buffalo Sabers defenseman Owen Power are the three finalists for the Calder Trophy.

Skinner led rookie goaltenders with 29 wins and 50 games.

His 2.75 GAA and .914 save percentage put him second among those making their league debut.

The Oilers finished second in the West; they face the Vegas Golden Knights in the second round of the playoffs.

Beniers, the Kraken’s first-ever pick and second overall in 2021, led all rookies with 57 points (24 goals, 33 assists) in 80 games.

He is the first Calder Trophy contender in Kraken history.

Power of the Sabres, the first pick in 2021, led all rookie defensemen with 35 points, including 31 assists.

The winner will be announced June 26 at the National League Gala in Nashville.
