Brigitte Bardot: what does her home “La Madrague” look like in Saint-Tropez?

Since 1958, actress Brigitte Bardot has been the proud owner of La Madrague, a house located in Saint-Tropez that she bought for 24 million old francs. His property has become so famous that the star is said to have had permission to build walls extending from the boundaries of his land to the water’s edge, so that part of the beach becomes private.

In an interview with ELLE in 1991, BB confided in her incredible property and the disadvantages of being famous. “La Madrague, it’s me. Hassles understood. People come to annoy me here from January 1 to New Year’s Eve (…) It would be perfect if it were not invaded by the public. It becomes unlivable” .

In his book entitled So chic! At the heart of the real jet set, Henry-Jean Servat had revealed an anecdote about La Madrague. This residence should have been the place of a mythical meeting between Brigitte Bardot and Isabelle Adjani. “So I take care of organizing the meeting. “Have a drink at La Madrague? Why not ? It’s a good idea!” In her flute voice, Isabelle has just said yes to my proposal, thrown into the air without really believing it. The answer being clear and clear, I call Brigitte and I propose to her if she wants to receive Isabelle. “She’s an angel on earth, she wears the beauty of her soul on her face,” she told me verbatim before accepting, saying she was happy.

A meeting at La Madrague which however could not take place, on the one hand because of the loss of his dog Dolly, but also because of no less than “sixty boats” which “anchor in front of the pontoon of the Madrague, all binoculars outside”, on the lookout for “the slightest movement in front of its so pretty little beach”. The two stars will finally meet out of sight behind the Hotel de la Bastide Rouge.

Planet invites you to discover the property of actress Brigitte Bardot.
