For the past few years, the 73-year-old actor has decided to put his bags down in Marrakech in the Targa district where he spends several weeks there a year, reported La Tribune de Marrakech in 2019. The actor would have had a crush on this haven of peace during the filming of Alain Chabat’s film, Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra. “It’s an idea from another time to believe that by moving away from Paris, we are forgotten. On the contrary, it has become very easy to live elsewhere, thanks to emails and mobile phones”, had- he told our colleagues and added: “If my agent is contacted, I can receive a script within an hour and go to Paris the next day. In fact, from Marrakech, it’s no longer than to go by car to Deauville for the weekend”.
Like many other cultural towns, Bernard Farcy enjoys going “to La Paillote, the Beldi Country Club, the Collegiate Church. From time to time, I also go to the French Institute, but what I frequent the most are art galleries, such as the David Bloch Gallery or the Jardin Rouge”. His last appearance on camera dates back to 2019, when he agreed to play the role of Lucius in the short film Monstrus Circus.
