A potentially talented top actress. Since 2021, Bérangère McNeese has been in the cast of the HPI series, the third season of which is currently broadcast on TF1. At the heart of the fiction, she plays Daphné Forestier, officiating at the Lille DIPJ with her police colleagues.

An amazing secondary role that the actress defends wonderfully in each season. Thanks to the TF1 series, the 30-year-old has gained notoriety among viewers. “As my character is funny, I am always approached in the street with humor and kindness. And my role being secondary, it remains moderate”, she assures with serenity with Télé 7 Jours. But, who is she in everyday life?

Born in 1989 in Brussels, Belgium, Bérangère McNeese has dual nationality. Belgian thanks to her mother and American on her father’s side, the young brunette is rich in her dual culture. However, it is in Paris that she chose to put her suitcases. “I navigate between the two cities. In Brussels, I am with my family and my friends. In Paris, it is more professional”, she confides for the site of La Nouvelle République.fr.

After high school, Bérangère McNeese nevertheless hesitated between Paris and Los Angeles to pursue a career. When she started her castings in France, the young woman preferred to settle in France. This did not prevent her from becoming known across the Atlantic. “I had the chance to travel to the United States with films that won awards there,” she told Télé 7 Jours magazine.

Self-taught, Bérangère McNeese shot in several commercials and short films in her youth. No wonder she wanted to follow her acting vocation. “I was convinced that was what I wanted to do right away,” she told the Belgian site RTBF, during the Series Mania Festival in Lille. “I was pretty sure that I wanted to make films whatever the cost”.

In the early 2010s, the Belgian took her first steps in the cinema in La chance de ma vie, directed by Nicolas Cuche. She also has the chance to play the daughter of Dany Boon and Valérie Bonneton in Eyjafjallajökull (The Volcano), by director Alexandre Coffre. Then come the films Grave (Julia Ducournau in 2016), We are made to get along (by Pascal Elbé in 2021) and soon in Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused (by Olivier Van Hoofstadt).

Producer, screenwriter and director, Bérangère McNeese is a real jack-of-all-trades. But it is as an actress that she has revealed herself in recent years on television with HPI. Discreet about his private life like his character, the Belgian and American star wants to surprise on the screen.

The partner of Morgane Alvaro and Adam Karadec (Mehdi Nebbou) dreams, for example, of an idyll with his colleague Gilles Vandraud, played by Bruno Sanches. “I’ve been asking for three seasons when they’re going to kiss! At the same time, as there are already love stories in the series, I find it very beautiful that other forms of relationships are privileged”, admits she to our colleagues. Will they wrap up soon? In an upcoming season? The rest of HPI always has surprises in store…
