(Vancouver) The British Columbia Lions have extended the contract of Terry Williams, the CFL leader with 1,315 kickoff return yards last year, for two years.

Williams could have become a free agent on February 13.

The Greenwood, Mississippi native returned a 120-yard punt on September 16, helping the Lions win 41-37 against the Ottawa Rouge et Noir.

Williams added 878 yards returning punts, finishing third in the league in that regard.

The Lions acquired Williams in a trade with Ottawa in September 2022.
