Bank transfer: how to make it pass before Wednesday, April 12?

Take precautions. Transfers allow you to transfer money quickly, often from your mobile phone, to an internal or external account and without a means of payment. With the democratization of mobile applications, you can fund your Livret A or your current account in a few clicks and almost instantly. External transfers can take 24 to 48 hours to be effective.

Please note, as the Public Service website explains, it is important to take into account the date of your transfer, “on which a debit or credit transaction is recorded by your bank”. “If the transfer order is placed at a time close to the end of the working day, it will be considered received the following working day”, adds the site. In the same logic, if the day of receipt is not a working day, then “the transfer order is considered to have been received on the following working day”.

Do you absolutely need your transfer to be effective 24 hours after your request? The Public Service website recalls that the deadline is “variable” and depends above all on the domicile, in France or abroad, of the beneficiary’s account.

This information is particularly important to keep in mind during the end of April and the whole month of May, because of the various public holidays and bridges enjoyed by the French this year. As a reminder, transfers cannot be effective on several dates in the coming weeks:

To avoid any unpleasant surprises, you had to make your transfer on Thursday April 6 at the latest. Haven’t thought of doing that? There is a solution for a money transfer. There she is.

You miscalculated your move and you missed the mark for your transfer? If you can wait a bit, you can wait until Tuesday April 11 for a transfer which should be effective on Wednesday April 12 to an external bank account. Can’t wait? So you have no choice, you have to make an instant transfer, but it will surely pay off. The Public Service website reminds that with the instant bank transfer, “the funds are then available immediately on the beneficiary’s account”, but that you may be charged for it. Some banks charge more than others, here are the ones.

Instant bank transfer is chargeable in many banks, usually up to one euro per transaction. Some establishments allow you a limited number of free instant transfers, while others charge you for them right away. Here are the banks that charge it, according to the Captain bank comparator.
