In either case, however, informs TF1 on its site, the majority of holidaymakers are looking ‘a sunny destination… Which pushes many of them to opt for the south of the country, when they are not going abroad. More particularly, insist our colleagues, they opt for the south-east of the nation. Clearly, they leave for the CĂ´te d’Azur, Corsica or Languedoc. Of course, some go against the current and decide to venture as far as Brittany or Loire-Atlantique, but it is clear that they are much less numerous this year. Attendance in Normandy, for example, fell by 25% compared to 2021.

A certain number of holidaymakers are not satisfied with the coast: to satisfy them, it is therefore necessary to go further, still informs the first channel in France. Those are eyeing – or coming back! – from abroad. A significant number of these are considering (or have considered, depending on) Spain, which has a high level of bookings. However, this does not mean that it is the only country in Europe to seduce both! Greece, the Balearic Islands and Tunisia, to name a few, also manage to attract customers, informs Le Point.
