“I’m thrilled that Brian will continue to direct our club around the field and in the clubhouse,” Braves president and general director Alex Anthopoulos said in an announcement. “Three consecutive division names talk to the effects of Brian and his team, and we’re happy he will continue to direct our team during 2023.”
Snitker, 65, who’s in his 45th time with the company, has a 353-317 record for a supervisor, a position he took over full time in October 2016. He directed the Braves to a 35-25 record throughout the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, winning the National League East for the third successive year.
He’s the only manager in franchise history to take the Braves into the postseason in three of the first four seasons.
