On January 21, 2021, Nathalie Delon, her real name Francine Canovas, died at the age of 79 following pancreatic cancer. His body was cremated and his ashes were scattered in Jamaica. The actress had said “yes” to Alain Delon on August 13, 1964 before divorcing after four and a half years of marriage, in 1969. Despite their separation, the ex-lovers had remained close throughout their lives.

“Nathalie was my first wife and the only Mrs. Delon. We got married in 1964. We stayed in constant contact. We saw each other often. I was part of her life, she was part of mine. We were still together at Christmas. We took photos together, the last ones,” Alain Delon said in a statement sent to AFP.

As proof, their son Anthony unveiled this September 28, 2022 a nice video of his parents made a few days before the disappearance of the actress. On this video, Alain and Nathalie Delon hug each other affectionately, under the lens of their son Anthony Delon. “For the official release yesterday of my book in Italian @sperlingkupfer “Dolce e crudele” where the three of us are together on the cover, I offer you a small gift. Excerpt from the filming of “the best way to leave” documentary on my mother, here on January 2, 2021.
