On Thursday night, the surprised baby news was announced by the father of two

Anderson Cooper is pleased to announce the birth of Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper.

The 54-year-old CNN anchor shared the thrilling news about his baby on Thursday’s CNN show Anderson Cooper 360.

Cooper said, “I wanted to begin with some good news. This also happens to be very personal,” he continued, recalling that he had revealed the birth of Wyatt during the “early dark hours of the pandemic” of April 2020.

These are Wyatt’s pictures taken just days after Wyatt was born. Here is Wyatt today. He is almost 22 months old. He is sweet, funny and the greatest joy in my life. He looks happy in this photo because he has a brother. Cooper introduced his handsome new son to the world.
“This is Sebastian Luke Maisani Cooper. He weighed 6.8 pounds when he was born. His health and happiness were evident, and his occasional hiccups are adorable. Although he eats, sleeps, and probably pees, he already appears to be a thoughtful and wise little boy.
Cooper revealed that Wyatt, Sebastian and his “best friend” and ex-partner Benjamin Maisani are raising them. “Wyatt calls Benjamin ‘papa’ and Benjamin daddy’. We are a family. Benjamin is currently in the process to adopt Wyatt. His last name will also be changed into Maisani-Cooper.”

CNN News anchor, then, thanked the “amazing” doctors and nurses who helped Sebastian enter the world. She also sent a heartfelt message of gratitude to Sebastian’s surrogate, thanking them and their families for the “sacrifices”.

Cooper announced that he would be taking a few weeks off to spend time with his family and his sons. “I wish all of you love, laughter, good thoughts and happy days.”

Cooper said that he is calmer now than he was when he had his surprise baby announcement. He’s doing well and he looks so cute. His hair is longer than Wyatt’s when Wyatt was born.

Cooper said that Wyatt was thrilled to hear about Wyatt’s 22-month-old.

Cooper said that instead of sending Sebastian gifts, viewers, friends and anyone else who might be interested in doing so, they should consider donating the items to local charities for those in dire need.
