(Toronto) Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman has been named AHL Player of the Month for April after an impressive start to the season.

Chapman averaged .384/.465/.687 with 38 hits, including 15 doubles and five homers, 21 RBI, 14 walks and 17 runs scored.

In the Nationals, Atlanta Braves power hitter Ronald Acuna earned the same honor with an average of .352/.440/.546. He notably hit nine doubles, scored 23 runs, produced 14 and stole 13 bases.
