During your career, you accumulate pension points through the payment of mandatory pension contributions. As part of Agirc-Arrco, it is the total number of points acquired that will allow you to assess the annual amount of your future supplementary pension. Two elements are therefore predominant in the calculation of your contributions: the contribution base, as well as the contribution rate. Discover all the elements that go into the contribution base.

Since the merger of Agirc and Arrco in 2019, you can acquire Agirc-Arrco points. Among the key elements, you must pay attention to the contribution rate, which is a percentage applied to the contribution base. It corresponds to the points calculation rate multiplied by the call rate, i.e. 127%. Two contribution brackets are provided: a first bracket fixed up to the Social Security ceiling with a rate of 7.87% and a second ranging between 1 and 8 Social Security ceilings. This reached a rate of 21.59%.

The contribution base corresponds to the part or all of the salary on which contributions are deducted. The Agirc-Arrco contributions are thus calculated according to the elements of remuneration which constitute the base for the contributions of the basic pension. Several elements of remuneration are therefore taken into account in the contribution base and it is important to know them. Among them, you can find your salaries, your bonuses, as well as various essential allowances to identify. Discover, in our slideshow, the elements that are present in the contribution base.
