Meghan King has revealed that she is back in the dating scene after her split with President Joe Biden’s nephew Cuffe Owens a little over a month ago.
In September, the ” Real Housewives of Orange County” star married in an intimate ceremony. The president and first lady were there to witness the union. However, the marriage was ended just two months later.
King shared her thoughts on Tuesday’s “Two T’s In A Podcast” podcast with Tamra Judge, former star of “Real Housewives”. King said that she’s already put herself out there in the dating world. She explained that her romance with Owens was , not a marriage.
The mother of three said, “I’m going to dates and stuff,” (via People). “I was married but it was a blur. From start to finish, it took me three months. It was stupid of me to get married to him. It doesn’t feel like marriage. It feels more like a three month relationship.
She said that Owens was the one she had been talking to about the split, and that she gave permission for her to stop thinking of their relationship as a “marriage”.
“I’m talking with my therapist about this, and she’s like, “Meg, it’s fine. She explained that it seemed serious, because you had put the title “marriage” on it. But it wasn’t.
King said, “I learned a lesson and it’s now time to move on.” It’s a memory that I think of, and although it was disappointing, it is a good memory. It feels almost like a fond memory.
The reality star seems to have come a long distance from last month, when she posted to her Instagram Story that she was “rattled” and embarrassed by the whole experience.
She wrote that she was “rattled” at the time. This situation is deeply devastating. This is clearly not what I envisioned when I made my vows. I am shocked and saddened at the outcome. As my children and I process our grief, we begin to let go of broken dreams.
King wrote, “At this point I ask for your grace & gentle kindness as we navigate this labyrinthof grief with our family,” in her post.
