An ex-NICU mom treated her babies at Baptist Health Louisville with a Thanksgiving-themed photo shoot using leaves, pumpkins and plaid.
LOUISVILLE (Ky.) — The babies in the Baptist Health Louisville Newborn Intensive Care Unit are all ready and waiting for Thanksgiving thanks to a former NICU mother.
Ashley Dillman, a professional photographer based in Louisville and mother to two children, said that photoshoots are very important to her.
She was a frequent visitor to the NICU during her daughter’s birth, so she is well-acquainted with the difficulties that new parents face, especially around holidays.
Madelyn Dillman, Dillman’s daughter, was born preterm in May 2020. She spent 48 days at the Baptist Health Louisville NICU. Dillman was so moved by the experience that she started working as a part-time technie there earlier in the year.
She said, “I cannot praise enough the way they took care my daughter here.” “The experience has changed my life and I am so happy to be able help other parents now.
Ashley Dillman held another trick or treat themed photo shoot just before Halloween and is planning another holiday-themed session in December.
