(Toronto) Toronto FC has signed Honduran midfielder Deybi Flores to a two-year contract, the MLS team announced Tuesday.

His contract includes an option year for 2026 at the team’s discretion. Financial details of the agreement have not been revealed.

Aged 27, Flores spent the last two seasons with MOL Fehérvár FC, a first division club in the Hungarian Championship. He appeared in 32 games, including 27 in a starting role.

Throughout his career, Flores notably wore the colors of the Vancouver Whitecaps, between 2015 and 2017.

On the international stage, Flores has earned 35 caps with the Honduras national team since his debut in 2015.

TFC officials have clarified that Flores’ name will be added to the Toronto roster once issues relating to his Canadian work permit, medical exams and international transfer certificate have been resolved.
