I questioned my way of creating. I had this way of writing my songs on my own, and then accompanying myself with musicians. But it worried me to start this same process again, to search in the same emotions, my anxiety, my childhood. It’s like I’ve come around. I was in Quebec during my annual break in May, and here, spring is something special, we don’t have that in France. I made a first song and it gave me the idea of ​​a slightly more conceptual album about the seasons, a universal theme, outside of my little life. It turned out that I was very inspired. We did the whole album in three months.
I wanted it to come out with the seasons. May people be able to listen to the songs that correspond to the seasons when the seasons are being born. It’s the idea that you don’t get all at once, that you have to wait three months to get the other part. As we wait for spring to arrive and we have to be patient.
Yes. There are four movements, and in each there are three acts, which makes up a complete year. I wanted to recreate what each season represents. For example, in winter, the card in the first song is addressed to an icy, cold person.

He was the one who contacted me, against all expectations. It was really unexpected. He said he loved my music, and that he would be interested if we did some together. It was not at all in my plans, I would never have thought of contacting him, but in the context, I proposed to him and he accepted.
It’s a medium-length film that lasts the same time as the album, so 36 minutes. I wanted a multidisciplinary project to explore the seasons visually. I did this hand in hand with my best friend, Hugo Pillard, who directs a lot of my clips. There is studio and exterior, it’s halfway between something narrative that looks like a music video, and a documentary. It’s super liberating and inspiring to reach a point in my life where I feel like I can do anything.
Yes ! I had this dream since I was a child. It was incredible as a first experience, a first role, it was a leap into the immense void, and a proof of confidence on the part of the director Héléna Klotz. It changed me profoundly in my relationship with letting go and my image. This shoot was super enriching, and it was saving to be cut off from the music world for six weeks. It allowed me to see that my life as it is, it is great, but that it is not the only possibility.
There’s so much going on in my life, it’s not okay at all! Looks like I’m a minister! I have been selected for a creative residency in Japan next year, Villa Kujoyama, which is co-managed by Japan and the French Institute. It allows me to go away for three months, without knowing what I’m going to do, even though my schedule has been precise for years. For several months I have had the impression of sowing seeds of rest in my life, to settle down. In the meantime I will have a tour of six or seven dates in the United States in June, which will pass through Quebec if all goes well.
