Montreal and Gatineau | GYM and EOTTM will present two galas in two evenings in September

Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) and Eye of the Tiger management (EOTTM) will present two boxing galas in two different cities on two evenings in a row in September, which could force boxing fans in the province to make heartbreaking choices.

First, on Thursday, September 7, GYM will present at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal the gala it was to hold on July 27, starring Jonathan Giovanni Di Bella.

Di Bella (2-0, 1 KO) is GYM’s new headliner. The former kickboxing world champion will face Mexican veteran Lamberto Macias (16-8-1, 12 KOs) for an eight-round bantamweight bout.

The six-fight card will also feature Longueuil light heavyweight Terry Osias (12-0, 6 KOs), who will face Abraham Hernandez Meja (9-5-2, 4 KOs). Toronto’s Steven Rolls (22-2, 12 KOs), from promoter Lou DiBella, will defend his International Boxing Federation (IBF) North American title against Bosnian Sladan Janjanin (36-15, 25 KOs).

Featherweight Caroline Veyre (4-0), who will be fighting her fifth professional fight in less than a year, will face Mexican Karina Travieso Chavez (5-1-0, 0 KOs). ).

The next day, EOTTM invites EOTTM to the Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau for its eight-fight gala, the final of which will feature Steve Claggett (35-7-2, 25 KOs).

The Albertan will then try to defend his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) 140-pound belt against Mexican Carlos Sanchez Valadez (24-1, 19 KOs).

Two Outaouais boxers, Alexandre Gaumont and Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse, will be there. Gaumont (8-0, 6 KOs) will compete with Ulices Tovar Rivera (8-0, 5 KOs). Lepage-Joanisse (5-1, 2 KOs) will face Timea Nagy (2-1, 2 KOs).

Christopher Guerrero (7-0, 3K-O), Avery Martin-Duval (10-0-1, 6K-O), Thomas Chabot (9-0, 7K-O), Luis Santana (9-0, 3 K.-O.), Jhon Orobio (3-0, 3 K.-O.), and Harley-David O’Reilly (1-0, 1 K.-O.) will complete this map.
