Denise Fabre is a fulfilled and fulfilled woman. Indeed, the former announcer has been married since 1978 with a certain Francis Vandenhende. The 79-year-old was a renowned chef and owned several restaurants in Paris. His most famous restaurant was La Ferme Saint-Simon, located in the 7th arrondissement of the capital. Throughout his career, the chef was able to count on the unwavering support of his wife, who sometimes came to lend him a hand in his various establishments. From their love, Denise Fabre and Francis Vandenhende had two twins, Olivia and Elodie, born in 1980.

In 2007, Francis Vandenhende made a big decision: he decided to sell all his Parisian restaurants to go and live in the south of the country, more precisely in the Nice region, with his wife. “I was no longer as motivated as I used to be to spend fifteen hours a day between the market and the kitchen,” the chef told Le Figaro. “I preferred to avoid too much combat and better enjoy life”. Nevertheless, he remains the owner of the restaurant La Maison du Jardin, located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, run by his ex-second Philippe Marquis. “I have a staff in place who do just fine when I’m not around and provide lunches and dinners,” he said.

While her husband has chosen to sell his restaurants and retire, Denise Fabre decides on her side to gradually withdraw from the small screen. In 2008, the host began a political career by running on the UMP list of Christian Estrosi, in the municipal elections of Nice in 2008. Having become a municipal councilor, she also worked as deputy mayor in charge of outreach and image of the city, and will be reappointed after the 2014 elections. In February 2020, she chose to leave the Nice city council to devote more time to her family, especially her grandchildren.
