NEW YORK — Saks Fifth Avenue is turning off its site into a different business, together with all the hopes of expanding the company in a time when more people are searching online.

Shoppers will not see the shift. The site will still take the Saks name. And shoppers will continue to have the ability to purchase online and pick items at shops, in addition to return online orders at there.

HBC, the parent company of Saks, stated Friday the new firm will concentrate on growing online sales by adding more goods and solutions, for example styling.

Internet shopping has flourished throughout the ordeal, even for expensive luxury products, as homebound men and women avoid shops. Farfetch, an internet shop that sells products from Gucci, Fendi and other high-end designers, stated earnings soared 64 percent this past year in the year earlier.
