By 2050, indicates Le Parisien, humanity should reach 10 billion people. Consequence of this phenomenal increase in the population of planet Earth: the management of food resources will be more difficult.
According to a study by CNRS-CIRED and other scientific bodies, explains the Ile-de-France daily, it is technical progress that will dominate the field of food. Urban sprawl should continue at this time, cutting back on agricultural plots. No choice to keep up, the food sector would become mostly intensive and robotized.
The price of fresh, quality food would increase. They would then only be accessible to a wealthier population, explains the media. The rest of the population would only eat ready-to-eat, nutritionally rich products.
The plate of most households would have to change considerably. Some products are becoming rarer, a result of our economy in transporting food resources and our preferences to consume locally. What foods could disappear from our diet?
