5 noises that should not be ignored in the house

A dull noise in the cellar, a friction coming from the roof… Our house speaks to us, through small noises that could go unnoticed as we are used to it.

Only here: sometimes, these sounds translate important problems in the housing, like the malfunction of a household appliance, the bad condition of a door or the invasion of a family of mice in your attic.

To avoid unpleasant surprises, it is better to listen from time to time to learn to understand these noises… And know when it is time to do something or ask for help.

In the columns of Selection, the director of the Association of Certified Handyman Professionals, Ed Padilla, explains: “A suspicious noise will awaken a sixth sense in most owners (…) They are the best women. Often, it’s the wife calling me about a noise in the attic, after being told by her husband that there was nothing abnormal”.
