Winter is already here. While the month of December has not yet arrived, snow and cold are already in the news in part of France. Indeed, the weekend of November 19 should be a taste of the coming winter for some French people.

On the weather side, if snowflakes should cover several departments this week, it is the good weather which should generally reign over France for the day of Saturday, November 19. Precipitation is however expected in the north and east of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes but also in the entire southern part of New Aquitaine according to Météo France forecasts.

This global dynamic should continue throughout the day and into the evening. But, during the night, rain clouds are expected to cover the sky over most of the west of the country. On Sunday, this trend will be confirmed and spread as precipitation is expected to move from west to east. On Sunday evening, almost all of France could end up in the rain, with the exception of the Côte d’Azur, which should temporarily escape it.

In terms of temperatures, the whole of France should feel a more intense cold from Friday and culminating on Saturday or Sunday depending on the region. In some departments, the temperatures will be particularly low and will drop below the symbolic bar of 1°C. discover in our slideshow the list of those where it will be the coldest*.
