The heat is back in force in France. According to forecasts by La Chaîne Météo, the return of the Azores anticyclone in France should favor “the rise of a mass of warm air over the southern half” of the country. This weekend, then next week, the thermometer will climb very quickly with temperatures that can reach 35°C in places.

In the south of the territory, the site specializing in meteorology predicts “a surplus of around 7-8°C compared to seasonal norms”, with “peaks of 37°C will be possible in the interior of Languedoc as well than at the foot of the Pyrenees”.

In this sense, fairly warm nights are expected in most of the country, thus exceeding 20°C in many departments. In our slideshow below, discover all the departments where sleep will be difficult to find as it will be heavy at night.

Please note: the information provided is based on Météo France forecasts for Friday June 10, 2022 at noon and is subject to change. To establish this selection, Planet has chosen the departments where the maximum night temperatures will be greater than or equal to 22°C between Monday June 13 and Sunday June 19, 2022.

The forecaster reminds everyone to be careful of the sun: “at this time of year, the sun is very high at its zenith and the risk of sunburn and sunstroke is very high”. So remember to take your sunscreen wherever you go, even if you only expose yourself very little.
