A Florida veteran obtained a mortgage-free house from the nonprofit organization Operation Eventually Home to recognize that his eight decades of service.

Thomas fought to handle his bodily and psychological injuries after being struck by a roadside bomb in 2011.

Now that he’s a house, he’s got a someplace he could call a secure spot for himself and his loved ones.

“I always enjoyed the activity behind my father,” Thomas stated. “He was always a man of action… I watched what it did and that I said I need to be part of this”

Thomas meant to make it his profession, but his career had been cut short four decades after being struck by a roadside bomb.

He explained that moment changed his lifesince he couldn’t do what he had to do.

He fought with his bodily injuries, post-traumatic anxiety disorder (PTSD), a divorce, along with fiscal problems after coming home from his services.

He works at Wounded Warrior Project, got remarried, started working in Wounded Warrior Project, and began saving money to purchase a house for his loved ones, believing it’d be years before he’d have the ability to acquire a home.

However in November 2020, Operation Eventually Home told Thomas he and his household would be given a custom-built house in Fernandina Beach, Florida, in ancient 2021.

Thomas called the present life altering, adding that it might give him additional time and cash to return to the community, other specialists, along with his nonprofit that assists veterans.

When he eventually got to watch his house, Thomas and his household noticed an American flag signed with the men and women who built the house for him.
