Stars from all over the world arrive in Italy. From August 31 to September 10, 2022, the 79th edition of the Venice Film Festival takes place, one of the unmissable events celebrating international cinema. For this new season, 23 films in competition for Le Lion d’or will be presented to the public during the festival.
This year, American actress Julianne Moore succeeds Korean director Bong Joon-ho (to whom we owe the film Parasite) in the role of president of the jury. The actress and producer is accompanied by six other members to elect the feature film of the year 2022. Among these key faces of the seventh art, France is represented by the filmmaker Audrey Diwan, crowned last year for its leader -work The event.
Also present on the Venice Film Festival 2022 jury: Iranian actress Leila Hatami, Argentinian director Mariano Cohn, Italian filmmaker and screenwriter Leonardo Di Costanzo, Japanese writer Kazuoo Ishigiro and Spanish producer and director Rodrigo Sorogoyen. On the first day of the festival, all the members paraded in front of the photocall before posing for the traditional jury photo in front of the photographers.
Before the opening ceremony, other celebrities were also seen in the sublime Italian city. Like French star Catherine Deneuve who wore the colors of the Ukrainian flag on her blue jacket, in support of the country. Or the famous model Alessandra Ambrosio, still so hot in a short lace dress, hidden behind her sunglasses.
