To collect the impressions of customers, Philippe Etchebest has chosen to leave the hand to Pierre Chomet, emblematic candidate of season 12 of Top Chef.

Since 2014, this is the first time that Philippe Etchebest has hosted the show in tandem. Pierre Chomet’s mission is to welcome customers in the ephemeral restaurant and collect their impressions after tasting the dishes. He also accompanies the families and loved ones of the candidates throughout the show. A presence that “relieves” Philippe Etchebest. “Until now, I was alone. I had to meet the families and talk with them. The arrival of Pierre allows me to focus more on the culinary aspect of the candidates, on their support, their progress – which is extremely important to me“, confided the famous chef to Télé Star.

Originally from Côtes-d’Armor, Pierre Chomet is a graduate of the Ecole Hôtelière de Paris. He worked for Eric Fréchon at 114 then at the Bristol Paris in 2011. In 2013, he worked for a season with Arnaud Donckele at the Vague d’Or in Saint-Tropez, then became chef de partie at the Atelier de Joël Robuchon in London, where he works under the responsibility of chef Olivier Limousin. In 2015, he followed the latter to Thailand to work as a sous-chef at the Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Bangkok. In 2019, he worked with chef Vincent Thierry at the Chef’s Table in Bangkok. After six years in Thailand, the young chef returns to France to participate in season 12 of Top Chef. Eliminated at the gates of the semi-final, he has since been in charge of the panoramic restaurant located on the 14th floor of the brand new Mama Shelter La Défense.
