Ferrovial has reported that it has completed the distribution of 8,69 million euros, through the fund “Ferrovial Together COVID-19”, has destined for entities that fight against the pandemic in the social, health and research in countries like Spain, united Kingdom, United States, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Poland and Portugal . This amount represents the total amount of aid channeled through the fund and includes the communicated the past 8 and 28 of may.

Caritas, CESAL, World Vision and World Central Kitchen in Spain; The Trussell Trust Food Bank in the United Kingdom; and various food banks and World Central Kitchen in the united States; a Ceiling, in Chile; Action against Hunger, in Colombia; CESAL and Action Aid, in Peru, and the Red Cross, in Portugal and Poland, are some of the beneficiary entities. These grants have benefited about 115,000 people and enable the distribution of 1.710.00 meals.

Among the beneficiaries, are M madrid, Valencia, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia, Catalonia, Galicia, Cantabria and the Canary islands. Part of this contribution is distributed through government entities or Ngos in other countries such as the Uk, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Poland or Portugal.

Ferrovial is also pushing the research to the development of a vaccine against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the cause of the COVID-19. In this sense, has donated eur 500,000 to the University of Oxford, that is conducting one of the most advanced projects in the development of a vaccine.
