A convincing role and a scene that has gone viral. This Thursday, August 25, Stéphane Bern abandoned his presenter costume for that of Air Force commander in the TV movie For the Honor of a Son on France 3. A fiction that topped the audiences with 3, 94 million viewers in front of their television. “Thank you all for your loyalty and your warm messages,” said the fifty-year-old in a message posted on his Twitter account.

Investigating the disappearance of his son during an operation in Mali, the hero embodied by the host of Secrets of history has marked the spirits. “I thought of those parents of soldiers whose children die in special operations abroad. The death of a French soldier touches me,” he confided in the pages of Télé 7 Jours. “When I played Commander Paul Leclerc, I tried to put myself in the shoes of the families”.

Inhabited by his character in this detective fiction, Stéphane Bern invested himself in working on his interpretation. “When I play, I doubt everything and I’m scared. I work like crazy, much more than to present a show. I’m learning and it makes me feel good”, he confessed to our colleagues from TV Mag for Le Figaro. It was without counting on a sequence (unveiled on August 11 in a trailer before broadcast) which reacted on social networks.

During a confrontation, we see the hero played by Stéphane Bern brandishing his weapon in front of an individual, his gaze closed and threatening. An acting game that aroused the hilarity of Internet users, not depriving themselves of diverting this cult sequence. “As soon as I have a gun in my hands, everyone makes hot throats on social networks! It makes me smile”, laughed the main concerned with Télé-Loisirs.

Between historical references, diversions and unusual stagings, Stéphane Bern has become a “meme” in spite of himself! Focus in pictures with an anthology of the best internet user jokes.
