This is the first ever Winter Olympic Games mixed team event to be held in normal hill

Slovenia is the mixed-team ski jumping champions at the 2022 Winter Games.

Nika Kriznar (Timi Zajc), Peter Prevc, and Ursa Bogataj make up the four-person team.

After a hard fight, Slovenia won the gold medal, the ROC silver, and Canada the bronze.

Slovenia was the clear leader in the finals after the first round of female jumpers. Norway and the ROC were close behind.

After the first jumps of the men, the leaders were Slovenia, ROC, and Canada. These places also remained stable after the second female jump.

Slovenia was the clear leader throughout, with Japan clinging to any chance of stepping up on the podium.

Japan’s Kobayashi Kyoyu won the male jumps round with a 106-meter leap, placing them ahead of Austria and putting them in third.

Canada rose to the silver medal position following a fantastic flight by Mackenzie Boyd Clowes.

The ROC was able to take first place due to the quality of Evgeniyklimov’s last flight.

It was not enough for Peter Prevc of Slovenia, whose jump at the end pushed the score to 100 points higher than anyone else.

It is no surprise that Bogataj, from Slovenia, won the gold medal in the women’s individual hill final. Kriznar took home the bronze.

We saw many great flights after the first round of mixed team events, but we also had three disqualifications. Germany and China were therefore disqualified from the final round.

Slovenia was first, Norway came in second, ROC third, and Canada fourth. Poland came in fifth, Austria in sixth, the Czech Republic in seventh, and Japan in eighth. Japan was eighth in qualifying for the finals despite Takanashi Sara’s disqualification.
